The Value of Teledermoscopy

  • The value of teledermoscopy is well-recognized:
    • It’s 10 years (in 2020) since the presenter published an editorial in the BJD as to whether teledermoscopy validated teledermatology for the triage of skin lesion, and this was a comment on a paper that was published by Amanda Oakley and her team from New Zealand at that time.
    • However, subsequently there have been many other very good publications looking at the science of teledermoscopy from Spain and elsewhere, showing that dermoscopy is essential at increasing our diagnostic ability:
