Telemedicine Boosted by the Covid19 Pandemic

  • Telemedicine has become quite important because it increases access and allows care to continue, even if in-person is not possible.
  • Telemedicine is a great triaging tool. A lot of solutions can be found for patients without having them do be seen face-to-face.
    • Because of that, Telemedicine also saves personal protective equipment (PPE) in times of shortages. Indeed when distance provided care becomes possible PPE is not needed saving more equipment for those who really need it.
  • All-in-all Telemedicine just delivers care while social distancing, thus minimizing risks for viral transmission.
