Skin conditions where Teledermoscopy can be used

• Psoriasis, dermoscopy shows a classic psoriasis vessel pattern:
  • Non-polarized light, regularly tightly, uniformly arranged, dotted vessels can be seen.
  • Polarized light highlights white scaling throughout, which favors psoriasis over eczema / dermatitis or psoriasis.
• Eczema:
  • Non-polarized light shows vessels appearing clustered red dots, but these are not regularly uniformly arranged. These are irregularly arranged and some of them are sparse.
  • Polarized-light: does not have highlight white scale as in psoriasis but rather this looks almost yellowish to yellow-orange-like scales and scale crust

• Lichen planus: white lines in the epidermis can be seen corresponding to Wickham’s striae.
• Lichen Nitidus: multiple small white circles which represent subepidermal infiltrate of lymphocytes, histiocytes, and multinucleated giant cells in the dermal papillae.
